GooseFest - Golf Tourney

20th Annual GooseFest
October 15-25, 2008

The GooseFest Golf Tournament, held August 11th at the Kenmare Country Club, hosted the largest event in its history with 33 four-person teams competing.

Nobody won the Chrysler Hole-in-One Contest for a new Chrysler. However, Justin Froseth was awarded a gift certificate to the pro shop compliments of Chrysler Division for his long drive on #1.

The first place championship flight winners were Justin Froseth, Jason Christianson, Brandon Sandberg, and Brock Begg. In second place were Ken Barnhart, Tom Barnhart, Steph Barnhart and Ashley Barnhart. Jordan Invik, Billy Stanley, Kyle Hennix,and Cody Schepp took third place honors.

The first flight first place winners were Mike Thompson, Carol Thompson, Joey Thompson and Jordan Thompson. Second place went to Arlen Gartner, Chad Gartner, Larry Nore and Clint Voltz. Coming at third were Rick and Kristie Harris, Kyle Jessen and Roger Ness.

The second flight first place winners were Peggy Person, Jaeden Jensen, Lyndon Boms and Alex Bloms. In second place were Richard Meckler, Elaine Meckler, Ben Hickie and Judy Hickie. Brad and Monica Kjos, Jeff Hanson and John Sawyer were the third place team.

Longest drive: men, Justin Froseth, and ladies, Wendy Reid.

Longest putt on No. 9: Ken Barnhart.

Closest to the pin: #5 - Tom Barnhart; #6 - Scott Reid; #7 - Paxton Perlichek.

Horse Race Champions: Brock Begg, 1st; Jerry Essler, 2nd; Ken Barnhart, 3rd.

Senior Horserace Champion: Roger Ness, 1st; Jerry Munch, 2nd; Larry Nore, 3rd.
