Donnybrook American Legion is 100 years old

On July 28, 1920, 15 World War I Soldiers in Donnybrook signed a formal request for a local American Legion post.

On the application to state headquarters in Fargo, the name Clarence McCormack American Legion Post 195 was requested.

The name was used to honor Clarence McCormack who was killed in action during World War I.

Just two days later, state commander Jack Williams wrote a letter to the Donnybrook group telling them that Donnybrook would have a charter...
