Kenmare police working to educate on ATV laws and to get dogs licensed

Officers with the Kenmare Police Department are doing their best to educate new residents in town about the local laws regarding the use of ATVs. “I’ve stopped a lot of people already,” said Chief Gary Kraft.

Lewis & Clark to make first trip to State Baseball since 1980

The Lewis & Clark high school baseball team (13-4) hasn’t stepped onto the state tournament field since 1980, but the 2012 Wildcats will run the bases there after claiming the Region 7 tournament championship with a decisive 7-3 win over Des Lacs-Burlington.

Michele (Potter) Marshall, a 1985 KHS graduate now of Las Cruces, NM, created a personal memorial to her father’s and grandfather’s military service when she participated in the Bataan Memorial Death March at the White Sands Missile Range.

Construction gets started on two new 12-plex apartment buildings

After months of discussion and planning, the first shovelfuls of dirt were finally moved Thursday at the location of the two new 12-plex apartment buildings along Division Street in Kenmare as developer Tom Serie of SW Design Build in Minnesota met with local business leaders to officially break ground on the project.
