Kenmare Middle School students have completed a unique project that comes from a STEM engineering challenge.

Newspapers are the new leather in 2020 fashion... Shoes, such as the ones shown, were all made by Kenmare Middle School students during a STEM engineering challenge in their classroom with teachers Tracey Houck and Jackie Rockeman. The students embraced the challenge and actually made them with some durability.

Kenmare Middle School students have completed a unique project that comes from a STEM engineering challenge.

STEM is the acronym for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The challenge was issued to sixth, seventh and eighth-grade students by teachers Tracey Houck and Jackie Rockeman. The challenge; design a pair of shoes you can put on and take off using newsprint...
