Golf Course
The Kenmare Country Club is located 1/2 mile north of town and offers a
beautiful 9-hole grass green course with watered fairways. It offers a
scenic overlook of the Des Lacs Lake and the valley. The course presents a
variety of challenges to golfers, whether they be a novice or seasoned
player. The clubhouse has a pro-shop and
lounge that serves alcoholic and
nonalcoholic beverages. Motor carts and carts are available for rental. No
tee time reservations are necessary. Phone: 701-385-4384.
Take on the challenge of the other small golf courses of the areas. Walk-ons
welcome most any time.

Area Fishing Holes
If fishing is for you, then grab your poles and head to one of the
surrounding fishing holes in the area.
Lake Darling Lake Darling is located on the Upper Souris Refuge, 34 miles
east of Kenmare. It is open to fishing from 5:30 am until 10:00 pm daily. This
lake contains pike, walleye, perch bullhead, smallmouth bass. Camping is
not allowed.
Also part of Lake Darling is the Greene Crossing approximately 15 miles north of
Lake Darling on Highway 28.
Grano Crossing is located about 11 miles west of Lansford. This is in between
the Greene Crossing and Lake Darling.
Nelson's Perch Pond is located approximately 4 miles
southwest of Kenmare on Ward County Road #1A. It contains perch only and is open
to public fishing.
Northgate Dam is located 6 miles north, 1 mile west, 2
miles north, and 1/2 mile west of Bowbells. It contains walleye, largemouth
bass, bluegill, trout, crappie. A campground with electrical hookups is
available.
Powers Lake is located on the south edge of Powers Lake. It
contains pike and perch. Campgrounds are available.
Smishek Lake is located 4 miles northwest of Powers Lake and
contains walleye, perch, northern pike, and bluegill. Campgrounds are available.
Wellness and Exercise Center
Wellness and Exercise Center features the latest equipment
How's your physical health? If you need a place to keep up with your workout program, try the new Wellness and Exercise Center. Drop ins are welcome.
A physical therapist or a physical therapy assistant is on hand at all times for anyone wanting advice on starting an exercise program or for advice during workouts.
The center is furnished with an impressive array of new workout equipment, including stationary bicycles, treadmill,
stairstepper, strider, home gym, and free weights.
The center, located one block west of the downtown business square, is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday.
Monthly, three month, six month, and yearly membership rates are available for students and adults.
