work The North Dakota Petroleum Council has presented their Outstanding Public Service Award to State Representative Glen Froseth of Kenmare.
Bob Mau, President of Eagle Operating in Kenmare and past Chairman of the N.D. Petroleum Council, presented the award to Froseth.
Mau continued, "Representative Froseth has been active in the Kenmare community for 39 years. His committment to public service to the state and community have made a difference and improved the business climate within the state where we live and operate our businesses. It is our honor to present him with this well-deserved award." Froseth has served eight sessions in the House of Representatives. He spent seven sessions on the Industry, Business and Labor committee; five session on the Political Subdivisions committee, including three as chairman; two sessions on Government and Veterans Affairs committee; one on the Agriculture committee, and served on the Finance and Taxation committee in 2007. Froseth is the former owner and publisher of The Kenmare News and a founder of Greater Northwest Publishing, Inc. in Minot. North Dakota Petroleum Council’s Public Service Award is designed to acknowledge and reward legislators, elected officials, and other public servants who go beyond the normal call of duty to make the state a better place to live and work. The recipients of this award are selected for their excellence in public service and for their efforts to improve the business climate in the state while ensuring that all parties are treated fairly and policies are followed. The NDPC represents more than 140 companies imvolved in all aspects of the oil and gas industry including oil and gas production, refining, pipeline, mineral leasing, consulting, legal work, and oil field service activities in North Dakota, South Dakota and the Rocky Mountain Region. Petroleum Council members produced more
than 80% of the nearly 39 million barrels of oil produced in North Dakota
in 2006. |
