In the consolation bracket Alex met Carson Schell of Minot Ryan, in a match where Alex injured his knee, and the only points scored were matching penalties, tying the match, resulting in overtime.  Alex won that match with a takedown in sudden victory, 3-1, setting him up with Nathan Schmaltz of Velva.

Alex was pinned early in the second period.  His next match was for seventh place, against Arturo Delacruz of Grafton, which he won in an exciting fashion in the last seconds by a score of 7-5.

Other wrestlers competing in the tournament were;
