The Kenmare Branch Library offers books, magazines, DVDs, audiobooks, videocassettes and state-of-the-art computer and Internet access to patrons of all ages.
Kenmare's library is affiliated with Ward County Public Library in Minot, and the two libraries share materials, programs, funding and a board of directors.
The Ward County Public Library Book-mobile schedules stops in Kenmare on the fourth Monday of each month. Patrons can visit the Bookmobile those days at the Fun Zone Daycare (401 2nd Ave NE) from 10 to 11 am and in the parking lot of M&K's Pizza Hub along US Hwy 52 from 12:30 to 2pm.
Children's programs are especially popular at the Kenmare Branch Library, with story time held every Thursday at 10am. The library celebrates the annual Read Across America event with activities held at the elementary school in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday each year in March. Kids can also participate in the summer reading program that includes activities in the community and many rewards for reading!
On the library's website at www.co.ward.nd.us/library, patrons can access several online databases. These electronic
resources provide a means to research numerous full-text articles
in magazines and reference sources.
